On June 15th, I had the incredible honor of capturing Josie and Joe’s summer wedding in New Jersey—a day filled with love, joy, and beautiful personal touches. Josie and Joe are the sweetest couple, and their journey began on Tinder, where they quickly bonded over their shared interests. Their first date was an unforgettable ice skating adventure, a theme they carried into their engagement session, setting the stage for the magic of their wedding day.
A Thoughtful and Intentional Celebration
From the moment I arrived at The Conservatory in Sussex, I was struck by the thoughtfulness Josie and Joe put into every detail of their wedding. The venue, filled with natural light, was close to a nearby hotel where they both got ready, ensuring a smooth and relaxed start to their day. Josie gifted Joe a special ring that morning, one meant to be passed down through generations—a truly touching moment that set the tone for the heartfelt day ahead.
The Ceremony: Love in Full Bloom
Josie and Joe chose not to have a first look, allowing Joe’s first glimpse of Josie to be as she walked down the aisle. The anticipation and emotion were palpable, making their ceremony incredibly moving. The florals by Farmside Gardens added a beautiful splash of pinks and oranges, perfectly complementing the colorful summer wedding vibes with a citrus twist. The entire scene felt whimsical, carefree, lovely, and romantic.
Capturing Their Love: Sunset Portraits
After the ceremony, we took advantage of the beautiful natural light and did all the couple’s portraits at sunset. This timing ended up being perfect for Josie and Joe, giving them space to play, have fun, and just be together. They ran through fields, danced, and laughed, creating some of the most genuine and joyful images I’ve ever captured.
Josie looked stunning in her dress from Alena Leena, sourced from Wander Atelier, with veil and accessories from FBM Bridal. Joe looked dapper in his suit from Hive & Colony, and the bridesmaids were radiant in dresses from Azazie. Hair by Shira from Milencebeauty and makeup by Brunella completed the bridal party’s flawless look.
A Reception to Remember
The reception at The Conservatory was nothing short of electric. The celebration kicked off with a choreographed first dance by Josie and Joe, ending in the most iconic lift—Joe lifting Josie effortlessly, leaving everyone in awe.
The party atmosphere was further elevated by the fantastic music from Magic Touch DJs, who ensured everyone was on their feet and having a blast. One of the highlights of the night was when Josie and Joe, big pop punk fans, played Fall Out Boy. The moment was iconic, with everyone screaming the lyrics, dancing, and having an unforgettable time together.
Delicious food was provided by Willow and Sage Catering, and the beautiful cake from Calandra’s Bakery was a sweet highlight of the evening. The couple’s rings, both from Jewelry by Alex in Paramus, added a personal touch to their day, symbolizing their everlasting love.
The Perfect Ending
As the night came to a close, Josie and Joe made a grand exit in a Jaguar vintage getaway car, an iconic and stylish end to their perfect day. They seamlessly blended traditional, classic wedding elements with a more modern look, creating a celebration that was uniquely theirs. Every part of their day was chosen because it was special to them and their closest loved ones.
