I recently had the absolute pleasure of photographing Ali and Eric’s engagement session in the Seaport area on digital and film, and let me tell you, it was pure magic. Their intimate brunch wedding is set for later this year in NYC, and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of their journey. Ali and Eric are truly what I would call soulmate clients; their vision perfectly aligns with the kind of photo experience I strive to create for all the lovers I work with.

Ali & Eric’s Story

Ali and Eric’s love story began in the most serendipitous way—through a mutual friend. Their first date was a fun-filled evening of bowling and arcade games, with air hockey being a particular favorite. From the very beginning, they recognized something special in each other: a shared sense of fun and joy that would come to define their relationship. They are best friends in the truest sense, complementing each other perfectly and embodying what it means to be forever lovers.

A Day in the Life

For their engagement session, we wanted to capture the essence of their everyday life together. We started by walking around the Seaport area, recreating a slow morning they would typically spend together. Seaport, New York, with its charming cobblestone streets and historic vibe, provided the perfect backdrop for their love story. As we strolled along, Ali and Eric were completely at ease, laughing and sharing stories, their connection palpable.

Moments at Home on the Couch

Next, we moved to their apartment, a space that holds special significance for them. They’ve moved several times over the years, but one constant has been their beloved couch. This couch has traveled with them from home to home, serving as a safe haven where they can relax after work, share a meal, or simply enjoy each other’s company. Capturing them in this intimate setting was incredibly heartwarming, as it highlighted the cozy, everyday moments that form the foundation of their love.

Mornings in Seaport

As the morning drew to a close, we returned to watch the city come to life by the pier. The river breeze, the gentle lapping of the waves, and the warmth of the rising sun created a romantic and serene atmosphere. Ali and Eric walked hand in hand along the pier, their love story unfolding with each step. It was a beautiful reminder of how love can transform ordinary moments into extraordinary memories.
