Emma and Hunter’s love story unfolded in the most stunning setting in Denver, Colorado in September. As a New York and destination wedding photographer, I had the privilege of traveling to capture every intimate moment of this special day and reuniting with an old friend from middle school! Emma and I reconnected when she asked me to photograph her wedding day. I was honored to not only celebrate her, but capture each moment throughout the day behind my lens! The personal connection made this experience all the more special and allowed me to bring out the true essence of their love through photos.

College Sweethearts

Emma and Hunter first met in college when they were assigned to the same group for an Art History project. Emma caught Hunter’s attention from the start because of her caring nature. She even brought cookies to make up for being late to the group project once! They started spending more time together outside of Art History, and their relationship blossomed and flourished in Denver. Their first date was spent at a Pottery Studio that Hunter’s aunt owns! From there, it was game over. They knew they wanted to be together. Since then, they’ve created a life and a home together, which they love dearly. Their pup, Leo is a special part of their family, too, and home isn’t home without him!

Highlands Ranch Mansion in Denver, Colorado

The Highlands Ranch Mansion in Denver became the backdrop for Emma and Hunter’s fall wedding in Colorado! Nestled just a few miles away from the stunning mountainous landscape, this venue provided the canvas for a minimalist yet elegant celebration of love. It’s the perfect space to get married in Colorado, because it’s easily accessible, but still embraces the Colorado vibes and closeness to the beauty of the mountains!

Personal Touches and Attention to Detail

Emma’s keen eye for detail was reflected through in every aspect of the wedding! From hand-written notes to close friends and family, to carefully curated gifts, she crafted an atmosphere of intimacy and warmth that felt like home. These personal touches added a unique charm to the celebration, making it a truly unforgettable experience for everyone joining in the celebration.

The entire day exuded a natural and organic feel, creating an atmosphere of authenticity. Her minimalist approach created an earthy feel, and the ambiance reflected the couple’s genuine connection and the simplicity of their love. Floral arrangements took center stage as the main decor element, bringing a touch of earthiness and beauty to the occasion. The choice of greens and whites complemented the natural surroundings, creating a harmonious blend with the Colorado landscape.

Celebration Dinner Under the Lights

Emma and Hunter wanted a feeling of dining under the stars, so as the sun set over the mountains, the wedding dinner took place outdoors under a canopy of string lights. Throughout the meal was the sound of laughter, clinking glasses, and love filled the evening, making the atmosphere one of warmth, intimacy, and romance.

Croquembouche takes the cake! For dessert, Emma and Hunter opted for croquembouche instead of a traditional wedding cake, staying true to themselves and their preferences. The unconventional choice added a sweet and personal touch to the celebration, making it a unique experience for everyone present.

A Beautiful Colorado Wedding in the Fall

Throughout the day, Emma and Hunter remained inseparable, always by each others’ side. They radiated excitement and joy as they celebrated their union. The genuine connection between them created an atmosphere of love that resonated with everyone present, making it a day filled with cherished moments. I will never forget the moments to honor Emma’s mom, who passed away. Hunter’s mother wore a broach that belonged to her and Emma made her mother’s wedding band hers. The sweetest moment was the first dance with Emma and her dad that honored her mother, too. They played “Little Miss Magic” by Jimmy Buffett, leaving the room in tears. I was honored to be part of these special sentiments.

Emma and Hunter’s fall wedding in Colorado was a testament to love, connection, and the beauty of simplicity. As a New York and destination wedding photographer, capturing the intimate, romantic, and sweet moments of this celebration was an absolute honor!
