When it comes to New York City, there are hundreds of amazing venues to choose from when looking for your perfect wedding venue. Some of the most well-known, iconic NYC venues include the Plaza, the New York Public Library, 620 Loft & Garden, and so much more. As gorgeous as the venues are, they are not the perfect venue for everyone, and that’s okay. If you and your partner want to have a more intimate wedding or elopement, here are 10 of the best NYC wedding venues that I think would be perfect for your day!

1. The Terrace at the Foundry (42-38 9th St, Queens, NY 11101)

First up on the list is the Terrace at the Foundry in Long Island City! This gorgeous 19th century building is giving all the modern industrial vibes. The Terrace is perfectly designed for small, intimate weddings or elopements. With room for about 40 guests for a seated dinner, this raw space, so the possibilities for decor and overall design are limitless! The ivy covered exterior, white interior walls, alcove mirrors and more are the perfect industrial, modern backdrop for your intimate day. The Terrace also has the most beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline. For the most accurate pricing, I recommend reaching out to their coordinator via their website. The terrace is currently only accessible by stairs, so it is not ADA accessible.

2. Harold Pratt House and Peterson Hall — 58 East 68th Street, New York, NY, 10065

This venue is for all my couples who are looking for a space that gives off old school glamour vibes. This classic Upper East Side venue consists of 6 different rooms that are connected by a grand marble staircase.

The Rubin Library and Hauser Room would be the perfect space for an intimate ceremony followed by an amazing dinner. The Rubin Library boasts beautiful wooden walls, shelves lined with books, and a cozy central fireplace. This room overlooks Park Ave and can accomodate about 60 guests for ceremony and dinner.

The Hauser Room is a little lighter and brighter than the Rubin Library. It has beautiful white walls with decorative moldings. It has the capacity for 40 guests for ceremony and dinner. The Harold Pratt House rental period lasts 9 hours (3 hours for set up, 5 hours for the event, and 1 hour for breakdown). Additionally, this venue is wheelchair accessible, allows you to bring your own vendors, and has a bridal suite available . Unlike The Foundry, the Harold Pratt House does not have an outdoor space but it more than makes up for that with is uniquely, lavishly decorated rooms.

This neighborhood Italian restaurant located in Brooklyn is definitely for the couple who loves good Italian food. Frankies 457 has a cozy, rustic feel to it that makes you feel like you’re in someone’s backyard. At Frankies, you have the option to rent the Stable (the interior of the restaurant) and/or the Pizza Gardens (outdoor space). Either of these options would be perfect for an intimate gathering of 40-60 guests. Since Frankies is a fully operational restaurant, it does not have a getting ready space or on-site accomodations.

Okay, here me out. You may be thinking that the William Vale Hotel is only for large weddings. But I am here to tell you that they have a beautiful private dining room that is the perfect space for an intimate gathering with friends and family. This private cocktail bar has an amazing coastal Italian menu and can accommodate up to 30 guests for a seated dinner. Since the William Vale is a hotel, there is the option to book a room for yourself or for guests.

This large 4100 sq ft terrace overlooks midtown and looks so pretty night or day. The cost for this venue will range anywhere from $8,000-11,000, which does not include any other vendors.

6. Blue Hill NYC— 75 Washington Pl, New York, NY 10011

But did you know they have a NYC location near Washington Square Park that has a beautiful garden room that can accommodate up to 16 guests. This restaurant is the perfect post-elopement dinner spot for you and your loved ones. This restaurant is definitely on the pricier side, so keep that in mind when looking for your perfect venue.

This family style Brooklyn restaurant is a great place for your ceremony and reception if you want that homey, neighborhood feel. Sunday in Brooklyn offers a variety of family style menus that vary based on the season. This restaurant has a second floor Sun Room that is ideal for your intimate ceremony (40 people max) and a covered garden for your dinner. If you wanted to have a larger gathering post-ceremony you have the option to rent out the restaurant, which can accommodate up to 150 people.

Accommodating up to 22 guests, Gramercy Tavern’s Private Dining Room has a beautiful rustic, antique vibe with a beautiful center table. The Vault Room is a semi-private off-shute of the main dining room that can accommodate up to 40 guests. If you plan on having more guests at your reception, you have the option to buyout the restaurant, which can seat up to 120 guests seated.

You can choose from the Cafe Carlyle, Bemelmans Bar, or Dowling’s at the Carlyle. Bemelmans and Cafe Carlyle feature live music, which in my opinion, is always a plus!

This space has high ceilings and large windows, perfect for a daytime ceremony or night time dinner. Bat Haus can accommodate about 50 guests for a seated dinner. The cost to rent out this cute space ranges from $1,500-2,500, not including vendors.
