Emma and Hunter’s engagement photos at Chautauqua Park in Boulder Colorado had some of the most stunning mountain views I’ve ever seen! So funny story. Emma and I are actually old friends from middle school. She moved away after middle school to Colorado and I hadn’t seen her until her engagement photos. When I saw that Hunter proposed to her earlier this year, I just knew I had to capture their adorable love story.
Emma and Hunter’s Love Story
Art is central to Emma and Hunter’s love story. They met in college while doing a project for their art class at a local museum and even had their first date in a pottery studio! Because art played such an important role in their love story, I wanted to make sure their engagement photos looked like works of art.
Chautauqua Park, Boulder CO
When it came time choosing a location for their engagement photos, Emma and Hunter wanted to pick somewhere near Denver since that’s where they’ve lived the past couple of years. Emma and Hunter love the outdoors and enjoy taking their precious rescue pup Leo on walks. We settled on shooting at Chautauqua Park in Boulder, CO and honestly we couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather. If you’re looking for a place to do engagement photos in the Denver/Boulder area, I highly recommend checking out Chautauqua Park. It’s right next to University of Colorado Boulder and has stunning mountain and field views. The trail is open to the public and does require a permit to shoot, so be aware that you do need to apply for a photography permit at least one month in advance. And as always, when shooting in nature, always practice Leave No Trace Principles and stay on trail!
