Meet Annie & Ethan…

In the heart of New York City, amidst the hustle and bustle of urban life, I had the pleasure of capturing the timeless love story of Annie and Ethan—a love that exuded vintage charm and old-school romance. Their engagement session, steeped in romantic charm and vintage flair, was a delightful journey through the streets of Williamsburg, paying homage to the beginning of their love story.

Recreating Their First Date

For Annie and Ethan, love blossomed in the vibrant streets of Brooklyn. Meeting on Hinge in 2020, their first date took them to Rockarolla, a dive bar in Williamsburg, where frozen espresso martinis flowed freely and laughter filled the air. Bonding over their shared love for thrifting and vintage treasures, they embarked on a whimsical adventure through local thrift stores, discovering hidden gems and forging a connection that would last a lifetime.

Capturing Vintage Romance

As their engagement photographer, I was inspired by Annie and Ethan’s love story and wanted to truly capture the essence of their connection, which felt so warm and genuine, like two old souls who found their way to one another. They donned the coolest vintage 70s attire, sourced from their own vintage and thrifting company, Table and Thread Co. Each outfit spoke volumes, telling a story of a love that transcended time and trends.

Retracing Their Steps

As we wandered the streets of Williamsburg, we unintentionally retraced the steps of Annie and Ethan’s first date, immersing ourselves in the nostalgia of their beginnings. Passing the Mexican restaurant where they shared intimate conversations and making plans for the future, we felt the echoes of their love reverberate through the streets. As they strolled along the water, hand in hand, we couldn’t help but marvel at the serendipity of it all—the same water that bore witness to their first sparks of romance now serving as the backdrop for their engagement session.

Vintage Vibes and Old-Money Glamour

Annie and Ethan’s engagement session embodied the timeless look, with a focus on vintage-inspired aesthetics and old-money glamour. From their retro attire to the classic charm of the Brooklyn streets, every detail captured the essence of an era that reflects them as a couple, and as individuals. Their love, like their style, was timeless—a testament to the enduring power of romance in an ever-changing world.

A Love Story for the Ages

As the sun set on their engagement session, I couldn’t help but feel grateful to have been a part of Annie and Ethan’s love story. Their vintage-inspired romance served as a reminder that love knows no bounds—not of time, not of trends, not of the fast-paced world around us. Through their journey, they had created something truly magical—a love story for the ages, captured forever in the photographs we had taken that day. And as they walked off into the sunset, hand in hand, I knew that their love would continue to shine brightly, illuminating the hearts of all who knew them.
